Erann & Tony: This Knoxville couple are made for each other. They planned an intimate wedding in New Orleans and I am so grateful I got to be a part of their engagement session in the Smoky Mountains National Park and their wedding day.
New Orleans: After getting ready at the historic and super cool Hotel Monteleone where Erann’s grandparents celebrated their honeymoon we headed out for portraits around New Orleans. I am in awe of the Pontchartrain Hotel and their bar Jack Rose where we stopped for a few photos, the Audubon Park with its Spanish moss and the French Quarter.
The wedding: Held at Tableau oyster bar in the French Quarter, the ceremony took place in the courtyard and the reception upstairs in a beautiful light filled room with gorgeous ceiling, chandeliers and balcony. Tony is a beer expert, educator, writer and the Secretary & Education Chair for the Knoxville Area Brewers Association. They incorporated beer that had been under lock and key until their wedding day and Stone Brewing Enjoy by 4-20 beer for their 4-20 wedding date. After the courtyard ceremony with handfasting the couple had traditional Pimm’s Cup cocktails waiting for their guests. One of the best parts of the day (and a favorite to shoot) was the second line brass band parade after the ceremony. It was wonderful to see Erann, Tony and their friends and family dancing in the streets of the French Quarter with everyone joining in to celebrate with them. Erann & Tony planned an incredible menu for their wedding reception including French onion soup, blackened redfish bienville and a cake trio from Debbie Does Doberge with delicate wild flowers by Pistil & Stamen who operate a farm and create incredible wedding florals. This kind and loving couple, one of the most perfect Best Man speeches I have heard, exceptional food, super fun guests and countless moments made their wedding day so special. This was one of the most classically beautiful and perfectly intimate weddings I have witnessed. Thank you for having me Erann & Tony!
Wedding pros: Preaux Face makeup and hair styling, Mimi’s Bridal, Kinfolk Brass Band and officiant Vera Lester.
