Best of 2018, 2019 and 2020

Whoa. 2018-2020 was overwhelming, in a good way. I am SO thankful to everyone that invited me to document your lives during the past three years. I photographed at least 59 weddings, 15 engagement sessions, 42 portrait sessions and 14 proposals. It’s safe to say a lot has happened and the blog is overdue for year end reviews.

I had a major growth spurt in my business, got married in 2019 and was nominated for Rangefinder’s 30 Rising Stars of Wedding Photography in 2019, one of the coolest honors of my career so far. Two of the weddings I documented were published in magazines- one in the Knot and another in the Washingtonian. Lots of work was featured online. Traveling for work is always great for creativity and I got to shoot in 18 different locations all over the U.S. and went to Detroit for the Midwest Gathering photo conference. I worked with talented creatives on styled shoots, we got a new Australian Shepherd named Jessie and spent a lot of time photographing couples and families in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park.

2020 was, of course, a weird and difficult one but I worked with some very cool clients along the way. Like a lot of other people I learned how to bake and hiked a ton. Despite 2020 being 2020, I still ended up having a crazy busy Fall. I could not have this life I love so much without you. I’m super excited about my 2021 calendar and hope we can all dance together again soon. Thank you wedding pros, couples and families pictured here in some of my favorite moments from 2018-2020.
