First dance song: “La Vie En Rose” by Louis Armstrong
I’m very excited to share this fall Knoxville wedding! I had such a great time with LeighAnne & Trevor during their Knoxville engagement session and knew their wedding was going to be special. These Johnson City medical students met at UT and have been, as Trevor’s brother says, Dick and Jane ever since. They are perfect together and I know they will have a loving and adventurous marriage.
I met up with them downtown where the guys were hanging out with Icehouse and Claire Balest was working her makeup magic on the girls. I really enjoyed spending the day with their wedding party. LeighAnne wore an insane Sarah Seven wedding dress with red velvet shoes from Anthroplogie. The menswear was from Men’s Wearhouse and the ladies wore Jenny Yoo. Trevor had a first look with LeighAnne’s adorable niece and flower girl at the hotel and we then headed out for their first look at the UT Library where it all started. Second Photographer Sarah Terpstra Hanson (a client, 2014 bride, photographer and now friend) and I took them around for photos on campus and in Happy Holler with the wedding party.
The ceremony and reception were held at the Bleak House, an antebellum Classical Revival style house in Knoxville, Tennessee. LeighAnne & Trevor hosted everything outdoors on a beautiful fall day. There were lawn games and cozy fires for the guests, great food and lots of dancing. I felt at home with their families and friends and am still in awe over the simple and stunning details. This is a great wedding to look to for inspiration.
It was wonderful to work at this venue and with an excellent team of wedding professionals including Bradford Catered Events, LB Floral for the incredibly beautiful and romantic flowers, Enve Salon stylists, Downtown Grill and Brewery for their beer selection, Davis Sound through Special Notes Entertainment DJ, All Occasions and The Happy Envelope. Enjoy these Knoxville wedding photos. Thanks LeighAnne & Trevor for having me document your beautiful wedding day!
