First dance song: “First Day of My Life” by Bright Eyes
I have been looking forward to sharing this wedding since the day I shot it. Jami & Kerri- amazing couple, so gorgeous and in love. So much fun to be with and get to know. Some of my favorite shots of the year came from this Chicago, IL wedding day.
Their wedding took place on October 7th at Firehouse Chicago, one of my all time favorite U.S. wedding venues in quaint Andersonville (an old Chicago neighborhood of mine) with superwoman Michelle Marchisotta. Jami’s pale blue and lace wedding dress was handmade and found on Etsy through Ca’Rousel with alterations by Craft Broads. Kerri wore a dapper suit from J. Crew with a handsome bow tie and boutonnière from eco-friendly florist Fab Flora who also provided an incredible bridal bouquet and flowers for the reception. They wore amazing shoes and Jami’s socks were a cute addition to her wedding attire. After their sweet first look with Jami’s Mom looking on, we headed off in my car to drive around the city and take portraits in some seriously cool locations.
Hillary Bullock officiated their outdoor ceremony under the ivy where Jami walked down the staircase to meet Kerri and a knot tying ceremony was included to signify their union. Afterwards cocktails by Binny’s and a beautiful naked cake accented with succulents by Big Delicious Planet were both enjoyed outside where speeches took place and Moscow Mules were served in copper mugs. Jami & Kerri had guests take Polaroids and add them to their guest book for a keepsake.
Cage and Aquarium were the DJs for their indoor reception catered by Big Delicious Planet. Their reception tables with pops of yellow, grey and white flowers from Fab Flora were gorgeous. After an amazing dance party J&K had a sparkler exit and left in a Tesla from Windy City Limousine. Thank you for having me photograph your amazing Fall wedding day Jami & Kerri! Some of my faves-
