Spence Cabin Wedding

Cheryl & Ben are hiking the 50 state high points and have completed 22 so far. Clingman’s Dome was number three and Black Mountain, KY was the most recent. Maddie has hiked alongside them 19 times. I got to meet her during the wedding and she was the cutest (see pooch flower crown). They got engaged on a vacation to Zion National Park while hiking the Virgin River. They decided on a small wedding at Spence Cabin in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park- one of my all time favorite venues. The details for the day were seriously great: fox napkin rings, Megan Connors flowers, custom Coca-Colas, a pretty color palette, Otis Redding, birdseed favors, fox cake topper and eclectic place settings from Unique Setting Rentals. We spent some time exploring the forest and the historic Elkmont cottages before their ceremony by the stream.

Cheryl & Ben said some beautiful personal vows. They were full of history and story. Moms and Dads, aunts and cousins contributed to the ceremony with readings and poems, blessing the rings, signing the marriage license, lighting candles and intensely watching like they know something great is happening. I love this love story and am so happy I got to witness it. Thank you Cheryl & Ben!
