The couple: Meet Nadine & Donatello. This very special couple live in downtown Knoxville and wanted to celebrate their marriage by hosting a vow renewal celebration at the Knoxville Museum of Art before moving to a new city. Their priority was bringing friends and family members from all over the world together. Party attendees traveled from Dubai, Toronto, Michigan, Maryland, New York, Minnesota, and Pennsylvania.
The details: Nadine put so much thought into every detail, working with Marvyl from Team Wedding to make everything picture perfect. Some of my favorite details of the day include: vibrant neon pink and yellow flowers mixed with a pastel wedding palette, crispy chickpea panelle with octopus, sumac, parsley and pine nuts crostini, Nadine’s art deco dress from BHLDN, the colors of the Fall leaves seen through the museum windows, chocolate and vanilla cakes from Magpies Bakery and the local bean to bar chocolate and cardamom chocolate bars from Unrefined Chocolate as favors.
The ceremony: After a first look in the sculpture garden at Market Square, Nadine & Donatello had portraits made in the historic building where they live and around downtown Knoxville. Afterwards they held a ceremony with a floral and greenery hoop from Melissa Timm Designs underneath the Richard Jolley glass installations in the museum. A live Americana Bluegrass band, Kyle Campbell and the Bearded, marched the wedding party into the ceremony space.
The food and drinks: They incorporated their Lebanese and Italian heritage in the cuisine. The Chef was Matt Gallaher from Blackberry Farm with service by Billy Johnson. Following the Italian tradition, Donatello changed into different suits between courses. They served traditional Italian cocktails including Aperol spritz.
The dance floor: Nadine & Donatello danced an Argentine tango as their first dance then invited guests from their tango class to join them with the help of DJ Nick Harris. I had a great time watching and documenting the dancing and celebrating and so enjoyed this wedding day from start to finish! Enjoy the images. Thank you so vey much for having me Nadine & Donatello!
