Chris & Richard met and live in Virginia and were introduced to me by Laura, a bridesmaid in Randy & Joseph’s Annapolis, MD wedding two years ago. I photographed the rehearsal dinner at Virtue Feed & Grain the night before their wedding and got to know all the VIPs. C&R recently bought a home on a beautiful street in downtown Alexandria where I met them as they were getting ready. We set off for portraits at some of their favorite spots including an old train tunnel, in front of blooming wisteria, at local parks and on historic cobblestone streets. We met up with their wedding party for some fun before the ceremony and reception. The festivities took place at Society Fair, a whimsical downtown venue with a beautiful atrium, gorgeous light and exceptional food. The guests enjoyed Chris & Richard’s sweet ceremony with two great readings from friends and a glass ceremony that will eventually become a piece of art for their home. They had an incredible music selection and guests enjoyed food, speeches, cake and mingling before leaving for the night with homemade bourbon cherries in hand.
