This was an incredibly special day for Ajay and Kate. Ajay planned a surprise proposal along the water and insanely beautiful trail in the Smoky Mountains. The natural surroundings early in the morning, the rushing water, the significant stones she had engraved for them to toss in the river where they were engaged, the time they got to spend with each other hiking to a waterfall- everything was perfect. I am so honored she invited me to come along to document their important day!
I couldn’t possibly express how much I loved this morning. I cried looking over their photos during my editing session, so many of the expressions on their faces were too much- so moving and sweet. The one of Kate falling into Ajay’s arms with disbelief is probably my favorite. It was also my first shoot in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. I am really excited to announce that I now have an official NPS CUA permit to shoot weddings and sessions within the park and am looking forward to some upcoming weddings and elopements this summer. Contact me if you are interested in exploring the mountains with me. I really enjoyed hiking in for this shoot, feel so lucky to live close to the beautiful GSMNP and will love spending even more time there.
